Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Italy for Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on Android in Italy showcased varied performances in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into these trends.

Google Earth maintained a stable presence with weekly downloads ranging from around 15K to a peak of nearly 39K by the end of March. Active users also saw a general upward trend, growing from approximately 156K to 183K during the quarter.

GPS+ Maps, Navigation, Traffic experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 16K and reaching close to 19K by the end of the quarter. Weekly revenue showed some fluctuations but remained modest, with a peak of around $140 early in January. Active users followed a similar upward trend, ending the quarter at nearly 28K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a stable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 14.5K and peaking at about 11K towards the end of March. The app's active user base remained robust, fluctuating between 356K and 437K throughout the quarter.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation showed consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 7.6K to a high of 10.5K. Revenue peaked at $140 in late January but generally stayed below $110 for most weeks. Active users remained stable, averaging around 30K to 32K.

Lastly, Radar GO-X: HUD, GPS, Maps demonstrated significant growth in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads surged from approximately 3K to 10K by the end of March, and active users rose from 6.8K to over 17.6K. Weekly revenue, however, stayed relatively flat, peaking at around $172 in mid-January.
